Thursday, May 17 Internship time: 5 hours Final product/presentation time: 3.5 hours blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 9 hours For my last day of work, I commented on the Instagram posts in our feed of people we’re following for 30 minutes 2 times. I put the photos from the photoshoot I took in a folder to share with her, and then lastly I wrote a blog post for the Paradox blog to be published which is pretty exciting to have my work/writing published somewhere. I wrote her a wrap-up email about everything I had completed, and that's it! I spent a lot of time today also preparing for my presentation and working on my final product.

Wednesday, May 16 Internship time: 7 hours Final product time: 2 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 9.5 hours Today for work I spent the whole time finishing up the big project of finding 50 YouTubers in a specific range for Paradox to reach out to. That took me a really long time. I did my IG stuff that I am supposed to do every day and I also edited some of the pictures I took on my photo shoot. After work, I worked on the book I am making for my final product - which is going to be worked on mainly tomorrow.

Tuesday, May 15 Internship time: 9 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 9.5 hours Today's blog is going to be a bit shorter just because I am working on a fewer amount of projects for a longer period of time. I'm going to say what I did in bullet point form today. Morning: Photoshoot - shelfie style in multiple bathrooms to caption the Paradox oil in a skincare lineup IG post After lunch: Pinterest (create new board), and Instagram for Paradox (daily duty) Later afternoon: Begin creating a list of 50 skincare/beauty YouTubers in the range from 5k-500k subs to send our product to for review.  I finished the day by spending my own time researching new recipes to add to my 'beauty on a budjet' book!

Monday, May 14 Internship hours: 8 Research time: 2.5 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 11 hours Elise is in LA until Wednesday this week so she gave me many projects to either start or continue working on while she's gone, due Thursday for my last day of work. Today I spent a couple of hours working on the Pinterest like I usually do, and that was fun because I got to create new boards - Pinterest has become an addiction of mine (haha). I continued with using the app Planoly and added some captions to pictures that we are going to post in the future. Then, Elise taught me another way how to build relationships on social media, and that's by finding Instagrams of brands that are similar to our and see who comments on those other brand's pictures...I then go to their pages and comment on and like their photos to build relationships with them. Today I spent time on "the ouai" IG page to do this. I ended my day by working on the Paradox IG and spent time connect...

Friday, May 11 Internship time: 5.5 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 6 hours Well, today I was scheduled to begin work at 12, but I have been sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for Elise to come and she has not responded to my text so I'm wondering if she forgot? Right now while I'm waiting I'm doing the usual: working on the Paradox Instagram and Pinterest, as well as working on projects on spreadsheets that I have been doing throughout my internship. Today I was scheduled to do a "shelfie photo shoot", and those are super fun because I get to be creative and take tons of pictures and art direct - so I really hope she shows up because I want to be able to have the opportunity. I also packed a shoebox full of beauty products and props I can use for the photo shoot. I was scheduled to work five and a half hours today so regardless I will work on stuff for Paradox if she comes in or not so I can get my hours, but, I will update you on Monday to let you kno...

Thursday, May 10 Internship time: 5.5 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 6 hours Today I worked on creating a job post for a Photography and Creative Content Intern through AngelList which was cool because I got to learn about how to create a job post and learn about the requirements. I also began building a list of small-medium size companies that do influencer gifting on behalf of brands - that was cool because I had never heard of those brands and the companies that do this specific thing so it was interesting to learn about personally. I also worked on an Instagram Planoly for "maskhabit" (Instagram that is about to be launched created by Paradox) which was super fun and my kinda thing. After that, I made tweaks to the Paradox Shopify that I made a couple of days ago. Good day, it felt short!

Wednesday, May 9 Internship time: 7.5 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 8 hours Firstly, today I found contact information for beauty influencers which was fairly time-consuming. Next, I spent some time working on the Paradox Instagram which is something I am used to doing every day, but, today I also had conversations and fostered relationships with the gurus that I usually leave just emojis for on their pictures. It's nice being able to have conversations with the people you usually only see on social media. I spent a couple of hours adding to my Pinterest boards, especially focusing on the "Glow Girl Glow" section (that was fun). I then researched more on how to grow a Pinterest account so we can get our followers watching what we're doing. Lastly, I spent a few hours editing the hundreds of pictures that I took yesterday from our photo shoot. That was tedious and took a while but it was super fun and they are going to go on Instagram so I felt like I was doing...

Tuesday, May 8 Internship time: 6.5 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 7 hours Today was another really cool day. We worked at the Canopy again in Jackson Square downtown today which is my favorite space to be in. I love my internship for a plethora of reasons but mainly because Elise challenges me. Today I came in, we reviewed what my "homework" was last night, and then she asked me how familiar I was and how good I am with building websites/figuring out technology stuff. I said "well Elise funny you ask I am technologically challenged". She smiled and told me "perfect!" this a great opportunity for you to learn is what she said. She basically had me create a 'Shopify' for paradox which is new software that allows Instagram viewers to see an image and click on it to order it. Creating a brand's Shopify website is actually really difficult and I was very unfamiliar with the software but she just threw me into it and told me to figure it out....

Monday, May 6 Internship hours: 8.5 Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 9 hours Today was super fun. We switch off working at the Battery downtown, and the Canopy in Jackson square downtown which is brand new (5 days old) and it's so pretty and awesome so it's nice to be in a great and happy and spacious working environment. When I got to work, I finished up working on some spreadsheet assignments that she had told me to do the night before, and then I got to work on starting the Paradox Pintrest which I discovered is literally my favorite thing ever. I created 11 new boards which were really fun because almost the whole day I got to look at images that the theme aligns with the Paradox theme and pin them to my boards. Super fun. I then ended the day by continuing my search for beauty influencers that Elise can connect with to tell them about our brand. Great day.

THIS BLOG IS FROM FRIDAY, MAY 4TH Blog time: 30 mins Internship time: 6.5 hours TOTAL: 7 hours Today I spent a lot of my time working on the Paradox Instagram and social media. After learning how to properly grow an Instagram account it has been really cool to watch our account grow with loyal and supportive followers that we have gained a personal connection with through the formula that I am using and following. Although at times it can feel fake to be connecting with people in a very specific way through a screen, it is really interesting to watch it work out and watch us grow as a company. I also spent some time prepping and gathering props for a photo shoot that we were supposed to have on Monday but I just found out that it was canceled which was a little bit of a waste of time but I understand that things change. I was excited to work BTS of the photoshoot and take pictures of what was going on, on set but that's ok. I think it's going to be rescheduled for a few w...

Internship time: 6.5 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 7 hours I think today it would be easier to talk about what I work on in bullet point form. Spend 5 hours working with Elise on the conference trip she is going on in Italy, plan activities, plan flights, hotel reservations, restaurant reservations, contact PR/press contacts at resorts to see if we can get influencer discounts. Also, I have to create a document/spreadsheet of places/locations of "special places" and beaches where she can go to in each location if she decides to - on a whim.  Spend 1 hour on the Paradox Instagram, following my routine and formula for finding new influencers/people to follow our brand.  Spend 30 mins gathering props and thinking about ways to capture behind the scenes shots for our Paradox photo shoot on Monday.  30 mins spent writing this blog and organizing my time. She has very strict deadlines for me when we work together so I have to have a certain number of hours...

Internship time: 10 hours Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 10.5 hours      I think it is safe to say that today was one of the craziest days of my life. I am not totally sure how I am going to get through the next three weeks. To be completely honest I am having a hard time figuring out how to articulate how my day went.  I am having so much fun, and I am working harder than I have ever worked before. I am doing a million projects and learning a million new things in such little time and it's really insane to watch a startup take-off at the beginning stages. So much time and energy and passion goes into building a company and being able to watch it all happen is really inspiring. I knew it was a lot of work to start a company, but working for the company while it is just getting going is crazy. I am helping with Elise's personal projects, I am working on the Paradox social media and learning how to properly manage an Instagram account which is much harder...

Internship time: 6 hours Research/Final Product time: 1 hour Blog time: 30 mins TOTAL: 7.5 hours Today was really amazing! I had the first day of my internship at Paradox and I learned a LOT! I started working on planning a Paradox Beauty Influencer trip strategy plan which was really awesome because I got to research topics I've never researched before, and I got to be really creative and plan an extravagant trip that I will get to watch happen and watch influencers enjoy - that was really challenging and cool. Next, I got to log in to the Paradox Instagram account and learn how to manage a social media platform for a growing startup company. Managing and running social media accounts are much more difficult than I expected, and the formula I am supposed to follow is so structured which was challenging yet really fun. Overal, today was really great because I got to learn so much about things I was not previously exposed to, and I got to be in an environment that was cent...
