ROUGH THOUGHTS

I have lots of different ideas for what I want to do, but, I want to make sure that I am finding an internship that will be very exciting, fulfilling, and hopefully beneficial to my future. I also want to have a project that I am REALLY excited about so that’s why I am going to be very picky about the decisions I make - just a heads up. I found this woman named Elise Gabriel based out of LA and SF, and she is basically everything that I want to be. She runs a very successful fashion/lifestyle/beauty/wellness blog and she is the CEO of her brand new organic skincare company called ‘Paradox’. I have been in contact with her and am hoping to land an internship with her/at her company because I am thinking about creating my own mini organic skincare line for my project to dip my feet in the water of this field! I also am very passionate about forming connections with others and having an impact on my community so if I can figure out how to tie that it that would be awesome. I also have this dream of teaching beauty crash courses at transitional shelters around the Bay Area to teach women (or men) how to feel confident in their skin using makeup/skincare. HELP!!

3 Goals:

• Talk with Elise (I have a phone meeting set up) about her internship that she is offering and see if it’s a good fit
• Brainstorm about what it really is that I want to get out of my project -- how am I helping my community?
• Explore other internship opportunities. Talk with as many people as possible to get their advice on how to combine my ideas into one.
